Often Asked Question & Answers
Question 1. How often should I clean my windows?
Answer 1. This depends on many factors both personal preference and the environment. The heat and humidity in the Houston and surrounding areas are a great environment for mold, mildew and algae to grow. This is often why we get called to clean the windows. If any of your windows are being shaded by your house or trees, the shaded windows and screens will usually have more of a problem with mold, mildew and algae. Other factors like dust, dirt, leaves, tree pollen, grass, and other things are also building up every day. We clean many of our customers windows 1 time per year. Since the outside of the windows get dirty faster, some of our customers will have the inside and out cleaned 1 time per year and the outside cleaned 2 times per year. Some of our customers prefer every 2 years. For many of our first time customers, this is the first time they have had professional window cleaning done. To keep your house looking clean and fresh, I think 1 time per year would be fine.

Question 2. Will window cleaning remove hard water stains?
Answer 2. No. We do offer a Hard Water Stain Removal service for light stains.

Question 3. What are hard water stains?
Answer 3. There are dissolved minerals in tap water. When the water evaporates you are left with these minerals on your window. The most common cause of hard water on windows that we see come from water sprinklers that are not properly adjust and spray water on the window. Over time these minerals build up on the glass and are usually a white color. If enough time passes and the hard water continues to build, it is often cheaper to replace the window than clean it. If you have sprinklers, make sure they do not spray water directly on your house and windows.

Question 4. Will rainwater cause hard water stains?
Answer 4. Normally it will not. The total dissolved solids or minerals in rainwater are normally very low. Rainwater will normally dry spot free. You can clean windows in the rain. If they get wet from the rainwater after you have clean them, they usually will remain clean and spot free.

Question 5. Do you clean windows in the rain?
Answer 5. We schedule our window cleaning service Houston rain or shine. If it's raining when we arrive at your house, we will go ahead clean the inside windows first. We do this incase we need to come back to your house and finish the outside windows, you do not have to be home and let us inside. We will normally wait for a break in the rain before we clean the outside windows. If the rain is constant, we will come back and finish the work another day..

Question 6. Do you do inside window cleaning?
Answer 6. Yes, we offer window cleaning for the inside and outside. Since we do a lot of exterior cleaning around homes and business, people are not sure if we work on the inside also.

Question 7. Do you use a pressure washer to clean windows?
Answer 7. No. Since we do pressure washing, some people assume that is what we use to clean the windows. Cleaning windows with a pressure washer alone will leave tap water on the glass to dry and cause hard water stains. We use the traditional mop and squeegee on the inside windows. On the outside windows we normally use a water fed pole with pure water for cleaning. We have found this to be the best way when window cleaning Houston.

Question 8. What is the difference between window cleaning Houston TX and window washing Houston TX or what is the difference between window cleaning service Houston TX and window washing service Houston TX?
Answer 8. I have always considered them to mean the same thing. Different parts of the country will use one term or the other. Professionals usually like to use the term window cleaner over window washer and I agree with this. It just seems a bit more professional.

Are You Looking For A Reliable Window Cleaning Company For Your Business?

Professional Commercial Window Cleaner

We offer professional residential window cleaning service. Window cleaning has remained largely unchanged for about the past 100 years. Window cleaners have typically used a mop and squeegee to keep windows nice and clean. We still use the mop and squeegee to clean interior window. We have went with a new technology of cleaning exterior window in recent years and have had great success. It is called the water fed pole. Tap water is filtered and all of the dissolved solids or minerals are removed from the water. This is now pure water. This pure water is pumped thru a tube and up to the brush on the end of the pole. Dirt is scrubbed and washed from the windows using a brush on the end of a pole and pure water. When the scrubbing and rinsing is finished, the pure water that was left on the glass will evaporate from the windows leaving a spot free window. The water fed pole with pure water is a great way to clean your exterior windows. Since there is no soap residue left behind to attract dust with the water fed pole, exterior windows stay clean 3 times longer. We strive to be professional and make sure you are 100% satisfied with our service. We offer several different cleaning options to help meet your expectations and budget.

Our pricing is based on the number of windows cleaned or window panes for French style windows and any optional items cleaned.

We offer the following services.

Residential Window Cleaning Rain Guarantee

If we clean the outside of your windows while it is raining and the day after your cleaning you notice any drops or marks, just give us a call and we will be happy to return and re clean whatever you like free of charge!

[Rain Guarantee] What if rain is predicted for the day of my service?
It is our policy to complete a scheduled job if it is raining. In the event of light precipitation we will continue as scheduled because rain does not affect the cleaning. In the event of heavy rain or showers, we will return in a few days to complete the outside work. The interior of all windows are completed as scheduled so there is no disruption to your schedule.

Doesn’t rain make my windows dirty?
Dirt makes your windows dirty not rain. The dust from landscapers, tree pollen, exhaust, and many other sources settles on your windows. Rain drops move the dirt around your windows and after the rain dries the dirt remains on the glass. This residue is now very visible because it’s been spread over the window. Clean windows remain clean after the rain because once the water dries there is nothing left behind to obscure your view.
